Hailing from an island off the coast of Alaska, Corey Hunter’s music is an ethereal meditation on life and love. Growing up in church choir, singing is a reverent flow state where he is most intimate with the divine and uses it as a way to process life’s complex emotions and journeys. His first EP, “Metamorphosis of Love” is a heartfelt collaboration between his cousin Aaron Rennell (PD), his spiritual teacher Rupert Spira, and longtime friends Bria Park (Diamonde), Tate Tucker, and Shane Hazleton (Eternal Vibration).
Taking inspiration from artists like SOHN, Emmit Fenn, and Ry X--his sound is rooted in Vapor Soul, Indie Folk, Electropop & Alternative R&B. Honest, emotional, and grateful, his writing celebrates tears and joy as equally beautiful and inseparable parts of the incredible human journey we all share.

The five-song EP channels the indescribable lifeforce of love and takes the listener on a spiritual, artistic journey. The evolving narrative begins with the epic human dream of finding your life partner and ends with the release into your true nature as infinite loving awareness.
Metamorphosis of Love EP
Now StreamingAll five songs each have an accompanying panoramic live performance video and an official music video. The official music videos feature cutting-edge artists including an acrobatics performer, a fire performer, a solo performance featuring sophisticated artificial intelligence, a sculptor and a paint artist.
The EP is dedicated to Hunter’s mother, Elayne Hunter, “the greatest embodiment of love I have ever known.” As well, the artist includes accompanying readings for each song, which are the books that Hunter was reading at the time he was writing the songs.
"The beauty of music is that music takes me directly to source,” explains Hunter. "When I'm listening to music and my eyes are closed, I'm somewhere in the infinite. There's no time, and there's no space, and that experience I think is accurate to source, or the divine, or the reality of what we are. So we tried to build the music in that way. And you'll hear it in these sort of ethereal, flowy, watery, kind of ocean floating in space kind of vibes. We were trying to channel that experience of the divine into people's ears.”
All My Life (feat. Diamonde)
Now StreamingThis song celebrates the dream of finding your twin flame, the powerful human story that we tell around it, the strong emotions we feel in the middle of that story–and speaks to the naivety, expectation, and projection that story embodies.
I wrote “All My Life” when I felt I had finally found my life partner. I felt so incredibly relieved, that all the searching, and disappointment, and longing had finally come to an end and I could settle into just focusing on giving love instead of trying so hard to find it. The lyrics repeat so much because I was processing over and over the epic journey it had been, feeling the weight of the years, and the people, and the lessons--wanting to share with my partner the immensity of the internal and external journey to find her.
It was such an honor to be able to write the song with my long term friend Bria (Diamonde) as she was arriving in a beautiful partnership at the same time.

You Are My Everything (feat. Tate Tucker)
Now StreamingFalling in love, it turns out, isn’t the end of the journey but the beginning. This next song I wrote while in the middle of giving someone everything I had to give. It’s called You Are My Everything…but I prefer to call it Surrender.
I was trying to express the depth of the love I had for my partner, how she was the most important thing in my life, and trying to express both my desire and my struggle to surrender--to her and to love--which was also in my heart a surrender to my own mortality. Sitting alone in NYC, crouched under a lofted bed in a makeshift recording box made of blankets, singing this song gave me strength even as the hope for our bond was collapsing.
It was such an honor to be able to write the song with my long term friend Tate Tucker and have his verse share the emotions of his own journey.

Heal Memory
Now StreamingThe hard truth is that sometimes everything you have to give isn’t enough. This next song I wrote while unable to eat or sleep, in the wake of loss–the melodies and lyrics poured out of me alongside my tears.
I wrote “Heal Memory” in the month after my breakup. I had moved into a house with friends in Mexico, away from the city, trying to rebuild and restart. The landscape was so beautiful, the jungle and the sea, surrounded by so many people who cared for me--but I saw it all through a fog. I spent days not sleeping, hardly eating, feeling the pull of my partner a continent away.
I couldn’t stop thinking about her and couldn’t let her go. I called our counselor to try to get help. He suggested we speak. The three of us spoke and tried to process what had happened. She and I explored trying again...which ended in me laying on the cold cement floor in a puddle of my own tears finally letting the defeat sink into my bones, having closure, feeling the bottom...so that the real healing could begin.

Let Go Control
Now StreamingThe loss of someone or something isn’t really the cause of pain. Resistance to our experience is what really causes suffering. Expectations and attachments pave a path away from what love really is. This song is about releasing from this self-made prison.
I wrote “Let Go Control” at 4am on a beach in Oaxaca. It was overcast, the moon was full, and everything was cast in shades of grey. The ocean looked like a sea of mercury and I dropped to my knees in the water. I sang into the water the phrase “Let Go” and started repeating that over and over and over. Letting my partner go, letting the dream of the twin flame go, letting my attachments to outcomes go, letting my expectations for myself go, letting go of my attachment to life itself, to being human--surrendering to the truth of my own journey, and releasing resistance to it.
As the waves hit me I felt these narratives being carried away, and the true meaning of love emerging.

Love Eternal (feat. Rupert Spira)
Now StreamingWhen we let go of all control, what we find is that beneath all our experience, our fundamental nature is love itself. We’re always love, always have been, always will be. Never lacking, always whole. This final song Love Eternal, is the most powerful truth I’ve ever learned.
I wrote “Love Eternal” while in deep study with non-dualist teacher Rupert Spira. His words and meditations had been my roadmap out of loss and into love. His teachings shook to the core my understandings of everything about reality, and especially about the nature of myself. It turns out love isn’t something that someone gives you or that you give to them--love what we are–the very fabric of our being. Within it we are all contained and are never lacking.

All My Life (Acoustic)
Now StreamingFor All My Life (Acoustic) we stripped everything away. No drums, no synths, no vocal layers. Just my voice and the piano. I spent a month in retreat working myopically every day, meditating on every word and studying every note, taking no prisoners in translating the character in my heart to the sound you can hear. I have never worked so hard on a song. I learned what a massive distance lives in the six inches between my lips and the microphone, and the even bigger distance that lives in the six inches between my heart and my head. I had to become the song, and let it take over my whole life and being, there was no other way to truly know its voice.
